BIOGRAPHY
Claudia Muschio was born in Brescia and graduated with distinction from the G. Frescobaldi Conservatory in Ferrara. She made her debut in 2017 in the role of Pamina in Mozart's The Magic Flute at the Teatro San Carlo Naples.
In the 2025-2026 season at the Stuttgart State Opera, Claudia Muschio will appear as the Vixen in a new production of Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen, as Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto, as Amina in Bellini’s La Sonnambula, as Sœur Constance in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites and as Rosina in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia. In addition, she will be heard as a soloist in the 7th Symphony Concert with works by Mozart and Bruckner under the baton of Lothar Zagrosek.
In the 2024-2025 season, she made her highly anticipated debut at the New National Theatre in Tokyo, performing the role of Amina in La Sonnambula. She also appeared as Pamina and Gilda in Stuttgart. Additionally, Claudia made her debut at the Festival Saint-Denis in Paris, where she performed the solo part in Donizetti’s Requiem under the baton of Speranza Scappucci.
Claudia’s recent engagements include a highly successful role debut as Amina in La Sonnambula at the Stuttgart State Opera, where she also performed Nannetta in Verdi’s Falstaff and Adina in a new production of Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore. Other notable engagements include Rosina in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti in Modena, the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, and the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. In the 2020/21 season, Claudia Muschio became a permanent member of the ensemble at the Stuttgart State Opera, where she debuted as Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, as well as Le Feu and La Princesse in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges, among others. In June2021, she debuted as Adina in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore at the Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova under the artistic direction of Francesco Meli. The2021/22 season saw her debuts as Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Morgana in Handel’s Alcina, and Sandmännchen and Taumännchen in a new production of Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel at the Staatsoper Stuttgart.
