Joyce El-Khoury has been nominated for the 2022 Paul de Hueck and Norman Walford Career Achievement Award.
The Paul de Hueck and Norman Walford Career Achievement Award was established to recognize the achievement of outstanding, established Canadian artists in art photography, keyboard artistry and classical singing.
The 2022 award celebrates classical singing.
08.02.2023 - Marina Rebeka returns to La Scala
For a new production of Verdi's I VESPRI SICILIANI, Marina Rebeka returns to La Scala in Milan. She will sing the role of Duchess Elena and shares the stage with Luca Micheletti (Guido di Manforte). The Teatro alla Scala Orchestra is led by Fabio Luisi.

09.02.2023 - Michael Balke makes his house debut at Gärtnerplatztheater
With Offenbachs GROSSHERZOGIN VON GEROLSTEIN Michael Balke makes his house debut in the pit at Munich's Gärtnerplatztheater. In the staging of Josef Köpplinger, Juan Carlos Falcon, Daniel Prohaska, Matteo Ivan Rasic and Julia Sturzlbaum will sing the main roles.

10.02.2023 - Maria Chabounia and Kartal Karagedik at Malmö Opera
Opera Malmo shows Mozarts NOZZE DI FIGARO with Maria Chabounia as Susanna and Kartal Karagedik as Conte Almaviva. They share the stage with Henning von Schulman (Figaro), Verity Wingate (Contessa Almavia), Adrian Angelico (Cherubino), Lars Arvidson (Don Bartolo) and Ivonne Fuchs (Marcellina). In the pit stands Magnus Fryklund.

10.03.2023 - Alexandre Duhamel debütiert als Alberich in Stuttgart
Die Staatsoper Stuttgart zeigt Wagners SIEGFRIED mit Alexandre Duhamel als Alberich. Mit ihm stehen Daniel Brenna als Siegfried, Matthias Klink als Mime, Tommi Hakala als Wanderer, Stine Maria Fischer als Erda und Simone Schneider als Brünnhilde auf der Bühne. Das Staatsorchester Stuttgart steht unter der Leitung von Cornelius Meister.

23.03.2023 - Peter Tantsits debütiert Herodes in Basel
Das Theater Basel zeigt Richard Strauss`SALOME mit Peter Tantsits als Herodes. Bei seinem Rolendebüt stehen außerdem Jasmin Etezadzadeh als Herodias, Heather Engebretson als Salome, Jason Cox als Jochanaan und Ronan Caillet als Narraboth auf der Bühne. Am Pult des Sinfonieorchesters Basel steht Clemens Heil. Die Inzenierung von Heribert Fritsch ist an folgenden Tagen zu sehen:
