The italian coloratura soprano Bianca Tognocchi is graduated at Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, she is a prizewinner of several competitions, as R. Tebaldi, M. Pobbe, M. Olivero, R. Zandonai, F. Mattiucci, G.B.Rubini, G. Zecca, A. Colzani, A. Giacomotti, Grand prix de l’Opera, As.Li.Co. and many others.
Since 2010 she has performed many roles in important italian theatres, among them: Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore, Ninetta in La finta semplice, Serpina in La Serva Padrona, Livietta in Livietta e Tracollo and Fanny in La cambiale di matrimonio in several italian theatres, as: Como, Pavia, Cremona, Brescia, Jesi, Verona, Fermo a.o. In 2014 she sang at Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo the title role in the opera Lucia di Lammermoor. With OperaLombardia she sang the roles of Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Giulia in La Scala di Seta and Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore. Other following debuts have been Sandmännchen/Taumännchen in Hänsel und Gretel at the Teatro Regio Torino and Nannetta in Falstaff at Ravenna Festival, under the baton of R. Muti at the Italian Opera Academy. In 2015 she was also among the main roles of the world premiere of Adriano Guarnieri’s new opera L’amor che move il sole e l’altre stelle at Ravenna Festival and “Festival dei due mondi” in Spoleto. In 2015 she portrayed also Giannetta in L’Elisir d’Amore at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and the same role in the live broadcast production at Malpensa Airport. She sang Aminta in Mozart’s Il Re Pastore and Norina in Don Pasquale with Opéra de Chambre de Genève and in the spring 2018 her first Gilda in Rigoletto at Malmö Opera, Sweden.
Since 2012 she has performed at the Tiroler Festspiele in Erl (Austria) the following roles: Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Waldvogel in Siegfried, Musetta in La Bohème, Jemmy in Guglielmo Tell, Elvira in L’Italiana in Algeri, Elisa in Il Re Pastore and the soprano solo in Orff’s Carmina Burana, Bach’s Messe in H-moll and Weihnachtsoratorium. As far as sacred music is concerned she also sang J. S. Bach Cantatas in several concerts with Haydn Orchestra in Bolzano.
In the summer 2018 she sang Elvira in L’italiana in Algeri at Opera National de Lorraine in Nancy and at the Baroque Festival in Beaune (France) and again Adina in L’Elisir d’amore at Sejong Arts Center in Seoul (Korea).
Other important debuts in 2019 had been Amina in La Sonnambula and Die Nachtigall in Braunfels’ Die Vögel at Tiroler Festspiele Erl.
Since 2018/2019 season Bianca Tognocchi is a member of the ensemble of the Oper Leipzig, singing Gilda, Lucia di Lammermoor, Adina, Hüter der Schwelle (Die Frau ohne Schatten), Italienische Sängerin (Capriccio), Frasquita (Carmen) , Waldvogel (Siegfried), a.o.
In 2020 she sang Lucia di Lammermoor at Staatstheater Darmstadt, Donizetti’s Rita in an open air production in Leipzig, Gilda (Rigoletto) and Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro) at Oper Frankfurt.
Starting from season 2020/21 she is a member of the ensemble of Oper Frankfurt.
She has worked with important artists like: R. Muti, G. Kuhn, F. Luisi, F. Haider, U. Schirmer, L. Zagrosek, J.C. Spinosi, R. Villazón, V. Grigolo, M. Pertusi, D. Michieletto, C. Loy, K. Holten, P.L. Pizzi a.o.
She also held recitals at Berlin Philarmonie and Philharmonie Essen.
Current and future projects include: Fanny/LA CAMBIALE DI MATRIMONIO in Geneva, La cantante italiana/CAPRICCIO and Clorinda/LA CENERENTOLA at the Frankfurt Opera, Norina/DON PASQUALE at Tiroler Festspiele Erl and Musetta/LA BOHÈME at Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari.
