After her studies in literature at the université de Rouen and art history at the École du Louvre, Marie Gautrot started to study at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
So far her career brought her as Mallika/LAKMÉ and Marguerite/LA DAMNATION DE FAUST to the Opéra de Rouen, as Maddalena/RIGOLETTO and Marguerite/LA DAMNATION DE FAUST to Limoges as well as CARMEN, Amneris/AIDA, Nicklausse/LES CONTES D’HOFFMANN and Fenena/NABUCCO in Grenoble. At the Opéra de Paris she sang Giovanna/RIGOLETTO and Emilia/OTELLO and she sang DJAMILEH of Bizet at the Théâtre de Compiègne, L’Opinion Publique/ORPHÉE AUX ENFERS at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, Cherubino/ LE NOZZE DI FIGARO at the Opéra de Versailles and Offenbach’s LA GRANDE-DUCHESSE DE GEROLSTEIN in Navarrenx. Moreover she performed as Marie/L’ENFANCE DU CHRIST in Avignon, at the Théâtre de Poissy and the Radiant de Lyon as well as Marguerite/LA DAMNATION DE FAUST at the Théâtre du Châtelet and Dorabella/COSI FAN TUTTE in Toulon. In addition to that she was as Dame Marthe/FAUST in Saint-Étienne, Rosine/LE BARBIER DE SEVILLE in Mérignac, Clairon/CAPRICCIO and Madame Larina/EUGEN ONEGIN at the Opéra de Metz and the Opéra de Reims, Orlovsky/LA CHAUVE-SOURIS in Marseille as well as Albine/THAIS in Monte-Carlo and Azucena/LE TROUVÈRE at Château de Linière.
In concert she sang MATTHÄUS PASSION, Verdi REQUIEM, the REQUIEM by Duruflé, the PETITE MESSE SOLENELLE of Rossini as well as the KINDERTOTENLIEDER and DAS LIED VON DER ERDE by Mahler. She also performed NUITS D’ÉTÉ by Berlioz, the 9th SYMPHONY of Beethoven as well as the POÈME DE L’AMOUR ET DE LA MER by Chausson and LES MADRIGAUX by Monteverdi.
Future projects include the title role of Gounod’s LA NONNE SANGLANTE in Saint-Etienne, CARMEN in Criel sur Mer, Dalila/SAMSON ET DALILA in Avignon and Fenena/NABUCCO at the Opéra de Marseille.
