Marzia Marzo







Marzia Marzo, a native of Apulia / Italy, studied piano by Corrado de Bernart, before she finished her singing studies by Amelia Felle at conservatory “Tito Schipa” in Lecce. In 2012 she gave with Susanne in Mozarts LE NOZZE DI FIGARO her stage debut, followed by Idrusa nell’opera 800, L’ASSEDIO DI OTRANTO from Francesco Libetta in 2013.

During the seasons 2014/15 and 2015/16, Marzia was member of the opera studio of the Bavarian State Opera Munich, where she sung – besides others – Isolier/LE COMTE ORY and Zaida/IL TURCO IN ITALIA, HÄNSEL UND GRETEL, Nancy/ALBERT HERRING as well as Die Vertraute/ELEKTRA. Following the opera studio, Marzia gave her debut at Teatro Lirico di Cagliari singing Baroness Aspasia in LA PIETRA DEL PARAGONE.

The season 2017/2018 brought her long awaited debut at Liceu Barcelona as Maddalena/IL VIAGGIO A REIMS. Since the beginning of that season she became part of the Ensemble in Würzburg where she sang Dorabella/COSI FAN TUTTE, Rosina/IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA and also in Adams NIXON IN CHINA.

The season 2018/2019 will bring more role debuts including Hänsel/HÄNSEL UND GRETEL, the composer/ARIADNE AUF NAXOS as well as the title role in Offenbach’s LA BELLE HELENE.

Within the last years, Marzia was winner and finalist of several singing competitions, amongst them the Josep Mirabent I Magrans singing competition in Barcelona as well as AsLiCo in Como.
