Manuel Pierattelli

Studied with the baritone Carlo Meliciani and later deepened and perfected his technique with the baritone Federico Longhi.

He made his debut in L'ELISIR D'AMORE at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa and immediately began his career at the most important foundations and festivals. His repertoire alternates between leading lyric tenor roles (Nemorino/L'ELISIR D'AMORE, Ismaele/NABUCCO, Fenton/FALSTAFF, Rossillon/LA VEDOVA ALLEGRA, Rinuccio/GIANNI SCHICCHI) and character roles for which he can be considered a true specialist. Manuel  made his debut at La Scala in Milan, where he took part in the opening of the 2017/2018 season as Abate/ANDREA CHÈNIER, conducted by Riccardo Chailly and directed by Mario Martone.

His recent engagements 2022/23 include at least Bernstein's TROUBLE IN TAHITI at the Carlo Felice in Genoa and Eisenstein/DIE FLEDERMAUS at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste.

 

He has performed in the most important Italian opera houses (Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Carlo Felice in Genoa, Regio in Turin, Lirico in Cagliari, Massimo in Palermo). He has also performed at the Regio di Parma, the Macerata Opera Festival, the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, the Ente Concerti Marialisa di Sassari, the Circuito Opera Lombardia at the Fondazione Donizetti di Bergamo, the Opéra di Monte-Carlo and the Teatro Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas.

 

Manuel had worked with conductors such as Paolo Arrivabeni, Andrea Battistoni, Riccardo Chailly, Ivan Ciampa, Gabriele Ferro, Riccardo Frizza, Valerio Galli, Fabio Luisi, Diego Matheuz, Donato Renzetti, Andriy Yurkevich, Massimo Zanetti and, among the directors, Daniele Abbado, Andrea Bernard, Fabio Ceresa, Filippo Crivelli, Rosetta Cucchi, Emma Dante, Denis Krief, Pier Francesco Maestrini, Mario Martone, Damiano Michieletto, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Jacopo Spirei, Graham Vick, Franco Zeffirelli and the duo Luigi di Gangi / Ugo Giacomazzi.
